I have found the pole saw tiresome to use because it is not well balanced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello anonymous,
We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with this unit due to the weight. With the 2.0AH battery installed, this unit weighs 12.8 lbs (5.8 kg) in total. As each users capabilities differ, the strap helps even out the weight. Hold unit firmly with both hands. Always keep your left hand on the pole shaft and your right hand on the rear handle, so your body is to the left of the chain line. Never use a left-handed (cross-handed) grip, or any stance that places your body or arm across the chain line. We hope these tips will help, if they do not please kindly contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com for further assistance.
I got this after having an amazing experience with my Greenworks 60V Pole Saw. The 80V Pole Saw has an extra foot of reach (9 feet), and extra power. This has worked amazingly when dealing with dry, dead branches. Moving from hard woods to dead palm fronds, this saw cuts like a warm knife through butter. It is also quite easy to use, and my neighbors have benefited from both the quietness of the tool, and also from my volunteering to help them with trimming their trees. As an added bonus, it is extremely to break it down to fit in a truck bed or car trunk; loosening a couple of nuts with the included tool and the saw folds up into small sections. I love this tool, and anybody in my neighborhood just needs to ask and I'll gladly help trim your trees for you!
Powerful and does a good job cutting limbs and branches. Should look into why the chain oil leaks. Was hoping this would not be the case but seems like a systemic issue.
Three uses so far, dozens of branches, no problems. Feels safer than my handheld chainsaw as the pole social distances the blade. No gas and oil to mix. Highly recommend.
