surprised

I purchased this printer to " upgrade " from the K1 SE and well I am some what surprised that its not cracking up to what I thought it would be. I expected the Hi printer to be just as fast and fluid as the K1 SE but with the added ability of using multiple filament. I was wrong, ( I admit I am a novice at this and there may be settings I can adjust ) but for the convenience of not having to swap out filament midway during a printing cycle; is the printers only good thing compared to the K1 SE. The K1 SE was right out of the box ready to print and the speed and output was amazing, The Hi - combo is much slower and the amount of " poop " it throws away is incredible .. I almost used an entire rfid role of filament just on a single Deadpool print. That same print on the K1 SE barely made a dent in the role. ( Again I'm sure that there is settings I can adjust but WOW I wasn't ready for this waste ). The Hi-Combo is a solidly built unit and the CFS works well ( loud by the way ) and you can us NON - RFID rolls of filament too ( just some config you have to do but nothing to worry about ) All an all ; I wish I had this setup before the K1 SE as I would have been happier with that " upgrade " then the one I chose. Maybe its time to try the K2 Plus Combo ....... ???

I got this printer as a replacement to my old Wanhoa Duplicator i3. The print quality has just been amazing. I printed my first multi color print of 2 pikachu’s and while it takes a lot longer to print and generates a lot of waste. The print turned out amazing!

So you may be asking……. If it’s a great printer why did you only give 4 stars? Well, the story is I ordered two of them to accompany my two K1 max printers. When I got the two new Hi printers and set them up, one of them after setup failed after about 20mins of printing. One of the Z motor outputs went out. But after a quick email to Creality they sent me out a replacement control board and after replacing it we were back in business! I am really hoping I got one of those 1 in 1k printers that was DOA. I have been using Creality for 5 years now and I must say that Creality has stepped up their game over the last few years. Keep it up Creality!! So yes, go buy one!

Creality Hi Printer

This printer is very fast. I also have an Ender 3 S1 Plus. the Hi printer literally blows it's doors off. The Hi is easy to assemble and get dispensing. The only problem I had, and it was my own fault, was getting the CFS running. I didn't see the RS485 connector on the buffer. I like the CFS very much. Quick, easy change over. One of the first projects I printed was the clipping catching tray and the buffer mounting bracket. Make sure the surface you have the printer on is sturdy and solid. Mine is on a heavy metal/wood workbench. It sits on a concrete floor and wall. The printer would still get the workbench rocking and rolling until I put thin spacers between the worksurface and wall.
Overall, the Hi is good value for hobbyist like me.

Pleasantly Surprised!

I have had only one previous experience with a 3D printer, an Ender 3 Neo, purchased a cpuple years ago. It took me a while to figure things out and get going. Finally I got that one up and running and I was printing non-stop. When it came to upgrade, I chose to stick with Creality and bought the Hi, I went with the combo as I wanted to try out multi-color printing. I have had a couple hiccups with the muti-color printing, mostly because I was using different brand filaments with different spools, cardboard, plastic etc. I just ordered some of Creality's RFID filament, so when that arrives I will get a better idea on that aspect. Overall, I have loved everything about the Creality Hi printer, even as a stand-alone printer.

This printer is truly amazing. It prints perfectly right out of the box. I had a few hiccups with the camera lens cover triggering the homing error, but mostly user errors so far. I wish the camera was better positioned for viewing the print bed, and it needs a better lighting package when remote viewing the printer. Overall though it lays down a perfect first layer and barely produces layer lines on printed models. I will happily purchase another when I have room for it.
