Problems with Sensors. Firmware fix helped.

My review score is based on a simple premise: it's 2025, and I bought this printer under its marketing assumption that it's a machine that just works.
On that premise, it's not been the best machine. It randomly started to have problems a few days ago. Namely, that it decided to ignore the Z homing switches, and started ramming itself against the top of the frame. I did my best to troubleshoot, and nothing seemed wrong with the switches themselves. In a last ditch effort before giving in and contacting Creality, I decided to update the firmware on the machine. This so far has fixed that issue. Now, however, the machine occasionally spits out errors before starting a print. I'd tell you what those errors are, but most of them are listed in Chinese, and thus unreadable to me. I am beginning to suspect it might be an SD card issue on my end, so I won't fault the machine on that if that ends up being the case.
Regardless, for a machine that's less than two weeks old and only has a couple of dozen prints under its belt, and a machine that touts itself as competing with the A1, which is a machine that's supposedly also "press print and go", I have not been very happy with my lemon of a printer.
Oh, and though my first layers have been good, they haven't always been consistent. So there's that.
Otherwise, prints have been solid. So it's not all bad. It's just been annoying.
So, tl;dr, the machine prints okay when it actually makes it through its start up procedure, and when its not ramming its toolhead into its own frame. Uploading new firmware has fixed its major issues with homing, but now smaller issues randomly pop up. I shouldn't have to do any maintenance in my first two weeks of ownership. These issues should already have been ironed out. I am thus not very happy.

Warning, even though all the pictures are showing with Creality K2 Plus Accessories Hub. IT IS NOT INCLUDED! Even the picture in above in this review page has it in. Isn't it why they called it a "Combo"! So now I have to fork out another 300 plus for this module.

I love this printer, especially paired with the CFS. The results have been spectacular with no problems. I am recommending this as a first printer that will not disappoint.

Creality Hi Combo

Easy to tear down and work on it. Negative is the wire connections are not secured to the motherboard. As mentioned before, a long tail of filament to warn buyers it has been tested and needs to be extruded, and during shipping filament can be melted to the gears. Better guides/markings on the CFS where the reals need to be placed would be a plus. Outside of trail and error, I really like it. Multicolor models waste a lot of filament. I would love to get my hands on a conversation kit for my K1 Max, Creality official site seems to be always and forever sold out.

I upgraded from an Ender-3 V3 and for the most part the print quality is slightly better. The Hi is a LOT quieter though and is generally better rounded. The CFS system works great. I've had no clogs or jams. I struggled to set it up at first: the CFS errored out claiming no filament was detected by the buffer. I had to shorten the tube between the buffer and CFS and that fixed the issue. Overall it has worked great. I've used it for about 2-3 weeks and haven't had any failures. I did some multicolor prints and those came out great. A lot of wasted filament sadly but that's just apart of how this multifilament system works. If you're deciding between an Ender-3 V3 or the Hi, go for the Hi. It's worth it because you'll want to do multifilament prints at some point!
