[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rec'd as a birthday gift and couldn't be happier with this model. The tilt head is terrific, and the bowl guard solves a long-standing challenge with KitchenAid stand mixers. Plus is looks absolutely great on the counter.

Just a great mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for Christmas and everything i make tastes better. Bread, whip cream, ice cream,, cakes, cinnamon rolls. It's easy to use and easy to clean. There's no small areas that are hard to clean. I also have the spiralizer attachment and ice cream maker. Both work great. Well worth the wait!!

Not the greatest for bread dough

I love this mixer for everything but bread dough. it has an "egg shaped" bottom, for lack of better words. It doesn't allow for bread dough to be mixed well on the very bottom. Due to the shape, the 'dime trick" doesn't work to adjust the dough hook. If you get it too low, it just scratches the paint on the dough hook and inside of the bowl, but still never touches the dime. For cookie dough, it's ok. You can mix the remaining dough by hand. But when making yeast rolls, breads, etc that really needs to be kneaded by the dough hook, it doesn't work very well at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
