Excellent Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one of these a few years ago and then had health issues so gave it away to a friend going to culinary school. My health is not bothering me so much anymore and I really missed my Artisan mixer. Bloomingdales Home Store had a really good sale going so, I bought this one. Every wonderful feature I enjoyed before I am once again enjoying in this new one. Its strong enough to get the job done and I love it!

Pin keeps falling off

I loved this mixer and got 4 years use out of it. Having said that, I compare this unit that I have to all the other people that say they have had Kitchen Aid mixers for more than two decades and I refuse to believe that the pin has not been an issue....
In my neighborhood (all avid bakers), there are at least 4 users who have had the tilt head mixers who have all complained about the pin falling out while kneading dough and the whole unit falling down to the tile floor (in one case). I am not really sure why Kitchen Aid will not address this as a problem with their mixers... that is the only reason I hesitate giving my business to them again when I look for a replacement!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
