Sony XM5 noise cancelling

Own a pair of XM3’s and wanted to upgrade. Looked around read some reviews and decided to opt for the Sony XM5’s and I’m so glad I did. Incredibly comfortable, light and the noise cancelling is out of this world, not to mention the sound quality. So happy with this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bluetooth is working well

After my MX2 experience's it’s super to have multiple connections at the same time.
It’s a shame that the controle software for the MX5 is not very stable, as if there are to many options and movements that is confusing at times. What word to use to activate the ambient sound or when I take of the headphone and it pause the source. When it works it’s fantastic but it doesn’t always work witch is a bit confusing.
Then there is the matter of the smaller head band, what can be a bit painful after a few hours and I have to hove it around a lot after some time on my head. In that regard the MX2 was much less painful.
Sound and weight is better on the MX5 I must say.

The best way I can sum up how I feel about these noise cancelling headphones is is to say they are the "Rolls-Royce" of headphones.

Won’t work with TV

Bought 4 months ago and worked fine. Now they will not connect or play audio through any of the three Samsung TVs I own. A check of the internet reveals others are having the same issue. Between Sony and Samsung you’ve done something to your firmware and software updates that make these premium headphones useless to anyone who owns a Samsung TV

Extraordinary overall

Owning for a month. My long hall flying and moving in crowded noise places have been transformed. The noise cancellation is so good that I don’t think Sony cannot improve it more. Voice activated features so that NC stops when I start speaking without any button pressing is very good as well. Sound for the price is exemplary with excellent balance.

Great product. Amazing sound quality and noise cancelling feature. However, connection with macbook wasn’t intuitive enough. Additionally, the speak detection detects something other than 2 people conversation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost perfect

The features, auto voice recognition when ANC is turned on is incredible, they sound perfect, are very comfortable; but you can't fold them so they can get difficult to carry around especially when travelling for work. Its a small thing, but when you pay this much for headphones you want to be able to fit them in a laptop bag without them taking up half the bag.
