I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It's taken me a while to get used to the controls and the settings in the app but, I think I'm finally getting the hang of using it. I did have a problem that took me a while to fix. The headphones kept pausing over and over again and it was really annoying, until I found the sound settings on the app and realised it was set to pause automatically when I was talking to someone.
I was singing along and the headphones thought I was talking to someone and pausing haha. Now I know to turn that feature off when I'm alone and want to sing along.
The sound is good and they are comfortable to wear.

Bought these for my birthday due to a change of position involving lots of travel. Couldn’t be happier with them. Although they were quite expensive they feel top quality and sound amazing. The noise canceling is amazing and the ambient mode is unexpected good.

Great sound, some flaws

Great sound, although some disparity in heavy bottom end clarity sometimes.
The app is a little clunky sometimes.
Headband not as comfy as some of the competitors.
All in all, very good headphones, but there are some flaws
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best ANC and Great Sound

I bought it 2 weeks ago. I was amazed by how advanced the ANC had become! And after tuning the equalizer for a week or so, I'm now very satisfied with the sound quality. Equalizer is a game changer with this headphones. Also be aware it takes about a week to stop feeling pain wearing these for long hours.

I bought the WH-1000XM5 for use in an open-plan office. Tremendous noise cancellation and excellent sound. I find they are a little loose-fitting, but that is a personal preference. Recommended, but pricey.

ANC & Sound, great

Bought these recently after an airing forever for a local shop to have stock.
Moving from the MX4, I was not sure what to expect, but sound quality and ANC are amazing, a worthy upgrade, and super light.
Planning to do a lot of travel with these soon too, so battery life will be put to the test!

A calming effect

I purchased these a couple of months ago, The reason was for the noise cancelling for air flights and I was not let down, they are comfortable to wear and meet all other expectations.

Needs better firmware

Although the hardware of the device is good, the software and firmware issues have been extremely disappointing. I have had a myriad of connection issues and the android sony app leaves me wanting a lot more. Currently sending back my pair for review due to all the issues I have had. Overall I would not purchase again, as these issues have made them almost unusable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
