Works great and with plenty of power to easily clear away densely packed wet snow. Saved my back after consecutive snow storms around Philadelphia. Not having to worry about all of the baggage that comes with a gasoline powered motor while getting the same performance is simply awesome. While one of my coworkers had to shovel his snow because his gasoline powered snow blower would not start after being idle for several uncharacteristically snowless seasons around Philadelphia, I simply put my battery in and cleared up any snow that was in my way!
So far so good. easy to assemble, pop in the batteries and go! Plenty of power and battery life exceeded my expectations. Would give 5 stars but only used twice.
Once again, this machine did everything I expected it to do! The snow blower, arrived the day before the last 8" snow. Heavy wet snow and while it took a bit more effort on the machines part to move it....Move it, it did!! It worked so well, I bought my kids one too!! If you can, buy it and go to sleep knowing that if your driveway gets covered with snow during the night, this little beast has the power it needs to clean that sucker down to the pavement!!
I tried the 24v. and was not at all satisfied with the performance. I'm glad I spent the additional $'s and got the 60v. It is a much strong machine in construction, performance, and function. It is true: "You only get what you pay for".
I am a fan of greenworks tools. They simply get the job done as promised: efficiently, economically, handily. As with all tools, they must be used within the parameters of their design. This 20” snow blower can throw moderately deep (~8 inches) or heavy snow a good 10 feet or more, depending on the position of the chute. (Turning it fully sideways naturally creates more turbulence.) Too deep or heavy and the motor will stall repeatedly, but taking a narrower swath (and more time) can help.
Likewise, battery life is conditional, but I am blown away (see what I did there) that I can do much or all of my six-car+ driveway, the private road that fronts two other houses, and a 50-ft patio on a single battery. There are times, though, where I can barely get that done even with a second battery, this a 5A that came with the 20” lawn mower. (Charging can take a couple of hours.) Still, my neighbor who has a hefty gas-powered blower with tire chains marvels at how quick and nimble I am.
I purchased the snow blower, mower, and a greenworks chainsaw all within the past year, so I can’t speak with authority on their durability. They are light-weight but not flimsy, and I expect many years of trouble-free service. Time will tell.
