Needed something light to cut drop off near the street. This was perfect. Wide enough, and light enough. With plenty of power. Makes fast work of area I would normally have to cut with weed eater. Very Happy with this machine. When it becomes necessary to replace my chainsaw, or my weed eater. I will be replacing them with Green Works 60 volt.

Fantastic. Ready to go out of the box. It was so light when I first picked it up I almost dropped it! Easy to use the bagger or mulch options, easy to switch between them with no tools. Lightweight and maneuverable. Easily the best lawn mower I've ever used.

This tool is very easy to assemble. Material are of good quality giving it a sturdy feel. Super easy to operate, agile, and easy to maneuver. Being an electric tool it is lighter in weight and therefore it is easy to transport and store. I bought it with the 60V snowblower so that I can share the battery among the two tools, making it a more efficient set up with less part and pieces laying around. I definitely recommend this lawn mower.

Due diligence

When it comes to making fairly major purchases, my wife jokes I take so much time reading and viewing videos of ratings and reviews that models I consider have been replaced by a newer ones. It's true; I do take my time researching as there is hardly anything more disappointing than to spend hard-earned money on something and then be very dissatisfied. Haste does make waste and without my spending time for due diligence, I have myself to blame.
I start out with a need and search for what can satisfy that need. Then, I do read and view...while learning things I wouldn't have thought of initially (e.g. a brushless motor). Oftentimes, you can't get everything you want or you find out you can, but it is cost prohibitive. So this was my situation. I mow most of my property with a 48" lawn tractor. I say most because we have concrete edging around our numerous flower beds and shrubs. The tractor cannot fit in-between some (and neither could the 22" mower. Year before last, my gas powered mower died. Well, being a young 71 years old last year I decided I would tackle all those areas with just a string trimmer instead of buying a new mower. I should also mention that I used those tools in getting under and around 8 crepe myrtles. On top of that, our outdoor patio has grass slopes on 3 sides that got their attention as the lawn tractor has never been a possibility. Halfway through this mowing season, I began considering options. A thought came to mind that I could maybe cut way down on the amount of string trimmer usage if I had a smaller mower that could fit between the areas of edging, get up under the crepe branches, and wasn't so heavy that the slopes around the patio could be mowed vs being scalped with the weed eater.
We live in South Carolina and have Bermuda grass for lawn. So my solution was to find a mower that would fit between 20" areas of edging and be powerful enough to cut Bermuda. Of course, I also had wants (and here is where it got even trickier to get everything) like a battery that would last long enough for me to do all I needed to complete on one full charge; have both mulching and bagging capability; light enough to push and maneuver on the patio slopes without struggling; and I learned I really wanted a brushless motor for longevity and the power. Yeah, and I wanted it from a company with a decent reputation at a price I could afford and justify. I found all that I and caught a super sale price from the Greenworks quite a bit lower than the big box store carrying it. I also received fast delivery and it was easy to put together and begin to use. But most importantly, and I wouldn't write this if I didn't feel good about doing so because I count on other reviewers' honesty. I have yet to be disappointed with my purchase and I recommend you doing the same if it will satisfy your needs like it has mine.

60 V Cordless 17” Mower with 4.0 Ah battery

Once operating the mower gets a 5. We purchased the mower to be used in our backyard around a pool. There are lots of plants and objects to be maneuvered around. The lightweight mower and the 17” cut makes the mower perfect for this area. The pick up bag keeps it very neat right around the pool deck—no need for blowing after the cut. The 60 volt power cuts the thick grass with no effort and leaves the grass looking well manicured—no swirl patterns left and no random shoots sticking up. I have no doubt this mower could take on larger projects. My wife is petite and she can handle the mower with no difficulty. The 17” size and the folding handle makes it almost unnoticeable against the wall in the garage.
The 4 rating was given because a small bar underneath the mower deck was bent and pressing against the height adjustment cog making the height adjustment gear on top of the mower impossible to move. I do not believe this happened in shipping because of the location of the bar. It was most likely bent when the mower was assembled at the plant. A simple check of the height adjustment procedure once assembled would have identified this problem before the mower was packed. I would think this would be standard operating procedure. It took me awhile to locate the problem but once I identified the bent bar, I was able to straighten it slightly—just enough to clear the height adjustment cog. Now the height adjustment button depresses with ease and the height adjustment gear moves with relative ease.
The mower has only been used for one cutting so I can say nothing about the length of time the battery last other than it lasted throughout the 30-40 minutes it took to cut the backyard. And as for durability, we will have to see.

Good Mower, Bad Battery Life

Overall this is a great lawn mover. It's a little quieter than a gas mower and it obviously doesn't have the fumes. My only complaint is about the battery life. This is supposed to have a runtime of 60 minutes on a full charge, but we are only getting about 30 minutes.
