I bought this back around the beginning of May 2020 and the reason was I had bought the Greenworks snowthrower and I love how easy it is to use, how light and how efficient they both work. I am a senior and I am the one in our household that has to maintain our lawn and sidewalks now due to my Husband being disabled from a horrific workplace accident that makes him unable to do the things around the house that he use to do and that I relied on. So when I had been looking for something smaller I went on line and started looking. Found the Greenworks and decided to give it a try. Low and behold it was what I could handle. The Greenworks Lawnmower is so easy to adjust and very light to push and I love that my snowthrower and my lawnmower use the same battery and the time on the battery is charged enough for me to cut my whole lawn front and back whole property is 75'x100' so I figured grass only is about 50'x50'. Sure I could have used a wider cut but the 17" works for me. I highly recommend this or any other Greenworks lawnmowers or snowthrowers. It has made it so I myself am not struggling with gas lawnmower and a very heavy duty snowblower.
Purchased this mower to replace a self propelled gas mower. Love that you can use the self propel feature without the blade operating. Being able to store it on its end is very useful. Had a problem with the charger right out of the box. Took a week to get a replacement. Since that time we have used it twice a week for 3 weeks and it has not missed a beat! As I had given my gas mower away before receiving my Greenworks Pro, I had to cut some tall grass and it powered through it like a champ! Whenever it would start to bog down, it senses it and speeds the blade up. Very nice feature!
Bought this mower and am generally happy except for the side discharge port. The chute sits under the closure with no locking mechanism and thus sits precariously and often shifts and clogs the blades.
I like the idea no fuel, no oil, just plug in the battery push the button and mow. I can mow the whole back yard on one charge. Same with the front. I like it when the thicker lawn slows it slightly it kicks up the speed to compensate. A neighbor up the street was driving past while I was mowing and stopped to tell me that is the quietest mower he has ever heard. My old mower with a gas engine gave up so we opted for this one.
I previously owned a Honda self-propelled mower for many years and switched to a Snapper 80V mower, but I was not happy with the Snapper cut, and some of the features of the mower. The Greenworks 25" Pro 60V has been wonderful. It's very easy to use, and it folds up and stores away in with a very small footprint in my garage. Both batteries that came with the mower can cut my 1/2 an acre lawn with no problem. I've cut really tall 6" grass with no problem. I prefer not to bag my cuttings, and was happy to see this mower does a fine job of mulching the cuttings into very small pieces. My neighbors can believe how quiet the mower is, and after letting him borrow mine to cut his grass, his purchased one for himself. I highly recommend this mower.
I bought this mower over 3 years ago & am a very satisfied customer. Here in South Carolina St. Augustine grass grows thick & almost year around. I have used the mower close to 200 times & each time it starts right up & has enough power to finish the 45 minute job. I would never go back to gasoline - no more trips to the gas station, fumes in the garage, or checking/changing oil. The only issue I have had was a worn rear flap which is rubber. I contacted Greenworks & a replacement was sent promptly & without charge as the part was still under warranty. My neighbors also appreciate the mower as it is much more quiet than their gasoline models so I get no complaints if I cut the lawn early or late in the day to avoid the heat. Overall, the best lawnmower I've ever used.
