Great wide cut

So let me first say that for quite a while I was hesitant and curious about this machine and this brand.
I finally got my hands on the 25in mower( secondhand). Because I was so use to my 30in gas powered mower. I kept checking the price and holding back on ordering a new one. We'll, I finally got a used one, tried it out, and i love it! The charge of the two batteries holds up very well up against a half acre of land. I am very pleased with this machine amd performance of the batteries.
Next chapter, I've been eyeing up the riders. It'll be a while before I can invest in that one but for now, I can rely on the exercise of the walker. I barely use the self-propel features.
My only request would be a wider cut, push mower.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for sharing your experience with the 60V 25" Dual Blade Self-Propelled Lawn Mower. We are delighted to hear that the mower exceeded your expectations and that the battery performance has worked well for your half-acre property. It is especially rewarding to hear that the wide cutting deck helped make the transition from your previous 30" gas mower an easy one. I've had the mower for 4 weeks. I mow every week. It has worked very well. It arrived in great condition. I had it un-crated and ready to go in a 1/2 an hour. Charged it up. Mowed the next week. Very easy to control every aspect of this machine; read the instructions. Lawn looks great! Real nice cut. Had a different brand electric rider that needed expensive repair after 6 years of vigorous mowing so decided to try this one. Build is very solid- great frame and tires. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend from a person who has to mow a lot here in Central Florida.

Great mower, charger could use some work

Mower seems pretty good, although there's physical space for more batteries. Might have been better with only the "suitcase" batteries (and more of them). The charger draws WAY too much current! A "normal" (600w or so) and "turbo" mode on the charger would be great, so you don't trip a breaker trying to charge the mower and run a small item on the same circuit.
Pros: Environmentally Safe, Effective

Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks, September 21, 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that your 60V CrossoverZ mower is displaying a C9 error code and that you have been unable to charge the unit before ever having the opportunity to use it. We understand how frustrating and disappointing that can be with a new purchase.
There are a few troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the issue. First, inspect the battery cable harness and any auxiliary communication wires running between the charger, charging port, and battery compartment to ensure all connections are secure and free of dirt, debris, or corrosion. You can also perform a hard reset by disconnecting all batteries and the charger from the mower, waiting 2 to 3 minutes to allow the internal system to fully discharge, and then reconnecting everything before attempting to charge again.
If the C9 error persists after these steps, the charger or mower's internal power management components may require further evaluation. We recommend visiting the Greenworks YouTube channel for additional setup and troubleshooting resources. If you still need assistance, please contact our Customer Success team through the online chat feature on the Greenworks Tools website or by calling 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). Our team will be happy to help diagnose the issue and determine the best solution under warranty if needed.

If you live down South, you will regret buying

I was just going to straight out return it, but I decided to give it a shot and I deeply regret that. After the cut, I realized one of the battery doors doesn’t close properly. It cuts far worse than my previous 60 V 21 inch Greenworks push mower. And it just seems flimsy at best. To not take a product back means they have little to no confidence in their product line therefore, in my mind, it’s a scam at best. Maybe if you’re elderly and you have a large flat dry yard that you like to cut at least twice a week, sincerity, maybe this lawnmower is for you I really wanted this to work because I loved my previous mower. Sincerely angry, and regretful.

Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks, September 14, 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that this mower did not meet your expectations, especially after having a positive experience with your previous Greenworks mower. The battery compartment doors should close securely during operation, so the behavior you described is not expected.
For the battery door, we recommend removing the battery and carefully inspecting both the battery compartment and door latch area for any debris, packaging material, or obstructions that could prevent proper closure. Ensure the battery is fully inserted and clicks securely into place, as a partially seated battery can sometimes prevent the door from latching correctly. It may also be helpful to compare both battery compartments to determine whether the issue is related to the door itself, the latch mechanism, or battery fitment. If the door still does not close properly after these checks, the unit may require further evaluation.
Regarding cutting performance, results can vary depending on grass type, grass height, moisture levels, and mowing settings. For thicker Southern grasses, we recommend verifying that the blades are sharp, selecting an appropriate cutting height, and avoiding removing more than one-third of the grass height in a single pass.
If you would like additional troubleshooting assistance, the Greenworks YouTube channel offers helpful setup, operation, and maintenance videos. You can also contact our Customer Success team through the online chat feature on the Greenworks Tools website or by calling 1-888-909-6757. They will be happy to help review the battery door concern and mower performance with you. We appreciate your feedback and will share your comments with our team.

Two 60V Required

I purchased this late spring. Used it all summer on a yard size of just shy of a half acre. I do not have any hills. I love the wheal size as it moves across the yard with ease. Plenty of power for all types of grass. However, I cannot get more than 20-25 minute runtime. I reported this to Greenworks and they stated the batterie is for UP TO 45 minutes runtime averaging UP TO 1/2 acre. I'm not sure but seems they consider anything between 1-45 minutes within their advertised time limits.
You really need to be prepared to mow when the conditions are best for the mower. This isn't compatible with my schedule or mother nature's. If I let the lawn go a day to 3 past perfect mowing height, the battery will not last. If it's also little damp, three charges may be required.
This mower needs to be sold with at least 2 batteries for lawns up to a half acre.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Durable

Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks, September 11, 2026
Hello Sam61.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience. We are glad to hear that you have been pleased with the mower's power and maneuverability. We understand that runtime is an important consideration, especially for larger properties. Battery runtime can vary based on grass type, grass height, moisture levels, terrain, and overall mowing conditions. Thicker or damp grass and letting the lawn grow longer between cuts can increase power demand and reduce runtime compared to ideal testing conditions.
To help maximize runtime, we recommend mowing regularly, avoiding wet grass when possible, ensuring the blade remains sharp, and using a higher cutting height when conditions are more challenging. For larger lawns or more demanding conditions, having an additional battery available can help extend mowing time and improve convenience.
We appreciate your feedback regarding battery capacity and your suggestions. If you would like additional tips on optimizing performance, please visit the Greenworks YouTube channel. For further assistance, our Customer Success team can be reached through the online chat feature on the Greenworks Tools website or by calling 1-888-909-6757. Thank you for choosing Greenworks.
