After $400+ in repairs on my $400 self-propelled Toro that I bought new in 2015, I decided it was time to rethink the way I mowed. The most recent $120 repair, plus mower rental to complete the yard was barely a month early. There I was, Labor Day weekend, the Toro was dead again. Yes, I was overdue for a mow, but I spent the next week researching cordless mowers. We had two rains on top of my already out of control lawn when I finally decided we had a winner: Greenworks! The lawn was thick, a little damp in places, but I went for it. I was so impressed I could hardly stand it! The mower handled it! The battery did stop when I was well over half way through. I put it on the charger and finished some other chores. I put the battery back in w/ only 2 of 4 bars charged and completed the yard (w/ 1 bar to spare). I was seriously concerned the municipality was going to ticket me because the yard was too tall when I started. I am 100% delighted w/ the way “Grendel” performs (I’ve named the mower after the creature feared by all but Beowulf). Greenworks rocks!
I finally made the switch from a Gas powered painfully difficult to use and maintain lawnmower to the Greenworks 21inch cordless electric mower. No more Gas and Oil and it mows my lawns front and back twice on a single charge. "Awesome" is all I can say. Super lightweight and easy to control and I can even talk to my Grandson while mowing the lawn. I'm in love with this mower, thanks Greenworks...
I am enjoying not having to worry about a load and smelly gas mower anymore. Cuts just as well as a gas mower and I like the adjustable speed. Could be a little sturdier though. When I go over small bumps it jumps around without the grass catcher on.
I did extensive research when I was looking for a cordless mower. I wanted all my lawn equipment to be powered by the same voltage battery to make yard work more efficient. Easy to assemble right out of the box and get up and running. I can do all my weed eating, mowing and blower clean up on one battery. Also, I don't have to mess with gas and oil anymore and the biggest surprise is how quite this machine is. I would highly recommend this product to others.
I’m so glad I purchased this mower. I was afraid the battery wouldn’t last but it still had power after I completed my front and back yards. It ran for just over an hour and was easy to assemble and operate.
I decided a while ago that my next mower would be battery powered. Since I'm getting too old to be shoveling snow, I wanted to buy from a company that offered mowers and snow blowers that used the same batteries and got good reviews across the line. After looking at many options and reading many reviews, I bought this mower. I am very happy with it and look forward to buying and using the snowblower I just bought and other Greenworks 60 V tools.
Why not take that one more step ? You already have a hard to find cordless mower, what's stopping you from a REMOTE OPERATED version ? Every man's wish to be relaxing in his favourite lawn chair, having a cold one while preforming his duty and working his fingers to the bone operating a remote. Fulfill our dream.......We still want to be "The man around the house" but as we age , we prefer to do it sitting down eh.
