This is a tentative review because the grass is not yet growing in Ohio. The mower seems to be very substantial, and the batteries performed well in my snow blower. I expect the mower to do well also, but I may have more to say in six months.
I used my new Greenworks lawnmower today and absolutely love it! No gas, no smell, extremely quiet! Great looking cut! Better than I could have imagined. I should have dumped the gas mower a long time ago. I have 2 batteries, but didn't even need the 2nd battery, cut the entire yard on just one battery!
Bought this mower based on the solid construction, features, reviews, but most of all on the dual batteries. All batteries in my experience run empty quicker than advertised. My small yard (1/4 acre) can be done on one battery if mulching. I was cutting thicker grass with leaves, so bagged. Went into second battery for 5 minutes. The mower cut the thick stuff well, and the features like turbo, the battery meter, and dual batteries were well worth the upgrade to this mower.
I’ve had this mower one cutting season and am sold on green works products - their battery technology, thoughtful designs and dependable products are my go to for our horse ranch in rural Colorado. I have had numerous self-propelled mowers - various brands from high end to mid-grade and for the money - I’d put my 60v green works mower up agains any of them. (Just not having to gas it up and worry about the carb tuning up over the winter storage is worth it !!! Going to pick up an 18” chainsaw and a snow blower for the front walk next.
I bought this mower with great expectations from the reviews. Horribly dissatisfied with the quality. New mower had dents, dings and scrapes. The over the top issue for me was the transmission did not release when pulling backward. Had to literally drag the mower backwards without any of the wheels disengaging. Cool concept failed in many ways.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Ryan K,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of this unit. The unit is self-propelled and will attempt to propel forward when the self-propelled lever is engaged. To pull the unit backwards you must release the self-propel lever. Hopefully, it will assist in a more enjoyable user experience. If you find that you are still experiencing an issue with the unit, please kindly submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). We take each matter very seriously and want to make sure you are happy. At GreenWorks we stand behind each product we manufacture.
Loved how easy this is to set up and get started. I was mowing in no time. Also loved how light it is - which makes it easy to maneuver and push. Still, I'm glad I purchased the self-popelled version as that got me out fo the tight corners in my yard even though I didn't need it on most of my lawn. And finally, I was surprised at how quiet this is. Very nice to be able to listen to an audio book while mowing the lawn. I'm quite happy.
