Doesn’t last long enough to cut 3 acres even on a full charge and lowest settings. Cuts nicely if the grass isn’t overgrown.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello Patches O'Hoohahan. Thank you for sharing your experience. The 60V 60" MaximusZ Zero Turn with (2) 20.0 Ah and (4) 8.0 Ah batteries are designed to cut up to 2.5 acres. Since we are not familiar with the exact conditions of your lawn, it is difficult to determine why the battery life did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a relatively flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage. Cutting tall, thick, or wet grass forces the mower's motor to work much harder and drains the battery significantly faster. A consistent mowing schedule that prevents your grass from growing too high will maximize your runtime. If the grass has been left to exceed four inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait to do another one-third. Set the blade to a higher cutting height. This reduces the load on the motor because it cuts less grass with each pass, which conserves energy. Built-up grass clippings and debris on the cutting deck can increase resistance on the blades, forcing the motor to work harder. Clean the deck regularly to maintain efficiency. Lastly, maintain consistent speed. While it is tempting to mow at maximum speed, a slower, consistent pace will give you a better cut and maximize efficiency. Faster speeds deplete the battery more quickly. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing riding mower! Delivered to my house. A little complicated to get the mower off the steel-framed crate that it was shipped on, but that's because it was packed and strapped so securely. The packing itself revealed what a professional, quality company Greenworks is. Once I had it in my garage, it was easy to complete the set-up: installing the seat and steering arms and charging the batteries. The mower, the parts, and the instructions were all top quality. This is obviously not a company focused on cost-cutting. I've used the mower five times in the two weeks that I've had it and am very pleased with its performance. I live in a remote rural area on 3 acres with a natural meadow of tall native grasses. It cuts faster and better by far than any of the two battery-powered push mowers I have used. I enjoy mowing so much with this machine that I've mowed the overgrown meadows of both of my neighbors. To cut tall grasses (over 2 feet tall) you simply turn the blade speed on "high" and crawl forward slowly. Doing that, you only need one pass. With the blade speed on low and moving at a walking pace, you sometimes need to to go back over the cut a second time. But since it is a riding mower, that's not a problem. I find myself looking for reasons to take it out and find something to mow :-) Probably the most amazing feature of this mower, besides the zero-turn capability, is its incredible battery capacity and motor efficiency. I bought the model with six 8-AH batteries. They last much longer than advertised. I spent two hours mowing tall grasses, about half the time on high blade speed, and didn't even use 50% of the battery. Amazing. I drove it a half mile to my neighbor's house, mowed her meadow for an hour, then drove it back home and still had 57% of the battery capacity. This is more than worth the money. I wish I had made the purchase earlier.

Good power, quiet running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good power- handled longer and thicker sections of the lawn. Speed control could give a bit more range (like slower speed) to handle even thicker stuff, but I'm not disappointed. One thing to keep in mind is there is no side discharge. You have to either mulch or bag, no other options. I either missed that in the description or it wasn't mentioned.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd give it 5 stars but the handle doesn't adjust for height. At 5'2", I'm a little too short to be completely comfortable with it. Otherwise perfect.

Fell short of expectations and can't recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this electric lawnmower, but it’s been more frustrating than expected. The one real bright spot is the battery life — it easily runs long enough to finish my yard, which is better than many cordless models out there.
Unfortunately, that’s where most of the positives end. The mower just doesn’t cut well. The lack of lift means grass often lays flat instead of getting trimmed, so I’m forced to go over the same spots multiple times to get anything close to an even cut. What should be a quick mow ends up taking longer than it should.
On top of that, it’s much noisier than I anticipated for an electric mower. I was expecting something noticeably quieter than gas, but the sound level is surprisingly loud and not much of an improvement.
Overall, while the battery performance is solid, the poor cutting ability and unexpected noise make it hard to recommend.

Hello EricB. Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We are glad the battery life is working well for you long run time is one of the key strengths of this mower. For the cutting performance, we recommend checking that the blade is sharp and properly installed, as a dull or misaligned blade can cause grass to lay flat rather than lift and cut cleanly. Mowing when the grass is dry and at the proper height can also improve lift and reduce the need for multiple passes. Regarding noise, while electric mowers are typically quieter than gas, the sound can vary depending on grass thickness and mowing speed. We hope you will find this information useful. If you require any additional support or have questions regarding a product, we recommend try our Q&A section on the product's page or Chat with us direct on our website www.greenworkstools.com.

Hello sberner04. Thank you for sharing your experience with the 60V mower. We are glad to hear you enjoy how smoothly it runs. We understand it can be frustrating to have to slow down for tougher grass. One tip we would like to share is that walking a little slower can have some benefits it gives the blades more time to cut for a cleaner, more even finish, helps the mower handle thicker patches of grass more easily, improves mulching by chopping clippings finer, and can even help extend battery run time. Plus, a smoother cut is gentler on your lawn and supports healthier growth. We are happy you chose the 60V system, and we hope it continues to make lawn care easier overall.
