We bought this after moving and deciding we wanted to care for our lawn ourselves. My brother-in-lawn recommended GreenWorks after his own exhausted research for a mower for their property. We love the battery system which we recharge with our portable solar generator but most of all, the Self-Propelled attribute means my 9 year old can mow the lawn! And even better, his buddies come over to help because they want to run the mower, too! The mower has multiple lawn-lengths, is easy to maneuver and offers varying levels of assist for folks that need a slower or faster pace for their process. We haven't quite mastered the "art" of lawn mowing but these 4th graders keep the lawn neat and mowed weekly which means I don't have to do it! Love it!
This all started with the purchase of a Greenworks blower. Which then turned into the purchase of a Greenworks pro trimmer. After that purchase, and realizing the real power behind this fantastic pieces of equipment, I purchased a 21” mower. I couldn’t be more satisfied. I may not have a large yard, but with two 60V 4.0AH batteries, I’m able to mow, trim, and blow everything off and still retain half a battery. This equates to approx an hour to an hour and a half of run time. Better yet, no more trips to the gas station. No more messing with those ever changing gas can spouts, that cause more spills than anything. No more oils mixing or changing. Just two batteries on a charger, and roll. I look forward to trying out more of Greenworks products in the future!
I'm a 70 year-young lady and I needed an easy to operate lawnmower that I could start and push itself. I did NOT want to mess with oil and gas. After reading all reviews and researching various brands and models, I decided on the Greenworks Pro 60V Brushless battery operated lawnmower. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble myself. The battery lasts about an hour, which is ok with me. It is lightweight so not difficult for me to push; it is small enough to store in my garage. I use the mower to mow a portion of my yard outside my fence where I have planted 13 trees. Not enough dense grass in that part to pay my lawn care guys to mow, but too much for the weedeater I was using. Does the trick!
I bought this mower assuming it was self propelled, mistakenly thinking we were past the days of pushers. Turns out no. It is very much not self propelled, though it rolls easy enough, and comes with a 5AH battery. I may very well one day grow to despise it, but I decided to keep it, thinking I would burn more calories having to push it. I can cut my whole yard on one battery cycle, though it does have a 2nd slot for another battery if needed. I don't miss working with gasoline or breathing the exhaust. This is a perfectly fine push lawnmower. I would recommend everyone else to read the fine print and spend a little more and get the self propelled version. The only thing I don't care for about it, is I can't seem to get the handle low enough to get the best leverage to push the mower. I'm 5'5" though, maybe they designed it for bigger guys.
The 25” inch cutting deck has made the weekly job a breeze. The self propelled speed has perfect pacing and the two batteries are more than enough for my 10,000 sq foot yard. Definitely recommend this mower.
Great product, easily adjustable for height and battery lasts for both my front and back yards (.33 acre). Liked it so buck I bought a string trimmer, edger and leaf blower.
I bought this a month ago, used once and am loving it for now. The only problem am having now is the way battery die before finishing cutting grass

Hello Jenny Falo,
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you are enjoying the overall performance of this lawn mower however, sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 50 minutes, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information
