So happy that I converted from gas! So sick and tired of my 2 1/2 year old "pro series" gas mower breaking down vm's literally falling apart... A national, reputable brand mower to say the least. I don't have a yard that puts that kind of strain on it, just the typical central NC red creeping fescue. So, I converted after an electrician friend said that he's heard nothing but the best out of newer, more powerful battery mowers. I researched a fair amount and time and time again, Greenworks comes out on top everytime! With the warranty and highest reviews I could find... I went for it! I don't have a single regret!!! The sensor cut can tell when the mower is in thicker grass and kicks the mower speed up to work through those thick patches! I'm so impressed with it! I am cutting 3/4 acre lot with a slight slope, nothing treacherous. This mower is light and easy to manage! My only recommendation is that if you're on the fence, do yourself a favor with a lot that 1/2 acre or more. Get a rapid charger and an extra 5.0 amp hour (or greater) battery! You literally won't be slowed down! I did opt to use the side discharge on the thicker, deeper areas of the yard... No problems with bogging down or overheating the mower.
This mower is everything as advertised. I had started with a different brand for my first battery operated mower and Greenworks far surpasses for quality and operational capability.
I have been thinking about going battery for sometime. When my current mower finally gave up the ghost, and being in the lawn business, I figured why not look harder now. So I did and the Pro 60V 21" got my attention. Read more than I needed too about this product and battery mowers but decided to pull the trigger. Great decision !! Works better than I thought, I put the better mulching blade on, glides across my lawn. I have the push mower. Does the work, only use half the battery in most cases, easy to clean and love the stand up feature for storage. Very easy to put together. Cons -- louder than I thought it would be and the battery, due to the cooling fan, is noisy during recharging . I am convinced that this is my future for home mowing.
Bought this thing last year and it barely cuts my front yard I live in a neighborhood on a lot size of 10,000 square ft that includes my house in it. I hate this lawn mower. Was good at first but just slowly got worse
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Nope123,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 60 minutes of run-time* with fully charged 5.0 Ah battery, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
Very good self propelled mower! I mow 1/2 acre using self propelled and it uses 1 and 1/2 of the battery life. Charges fast and is light in weight and fold easily. Does need a cup holder!!
This is my first electric mower and i like it so far. Light with good power. I like not smelling/hearing a combustion engine. I am looking into electric cars next.
I bought this for my daughter. She has an average size yard and didn’t need to mess with oil and gas. Works as advertised. Super easy to set up and run. Great auction for bagging. I’ll most likely buy the 25 inch for my yard!
This is a big improvement from the electric mower I had growing up. I was skeptical at first of a battery powered mower but I was not disappointed. I can cut my entire third of an acre lot with with plenty of battery left. As an added bonus it’s quiet and never need to stop for gas. .
