A worthy gas mower replacement!!

Four weeks into replacing my gas mower, no complaints at all. The mower does a better job of collecting the cut lawn trimmings as it can fill the entire bag before it needs to be emptied. Good solid feel and no more oil or fuel to deal with. Runs for about 30 minutes before switching to the 2nd battery. Very happy with the purchase.

Works as advertised. Didn't realize it didn't have bagging but that's on me for not looking for it. Easy to assemble out of the box. Can do the full 1/4 acre on the one 5 ah battery with 1 bar remaining.

Smooth ride and great cut

I’ve used the mower about a month now. First, it’s most comfortable seat I’ve ever had for a riding mower. It cuts the grass very evenly and leaves a smooth finish. The batteries have held up as advertised. I have about 2 acres and Have charge to spare when done. Plus the batteries charge back quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Weak Lift

I am a fan of greenworks products, however this lawn mower disappointed me. I have several yard tools from greenworks and they all work great, so I though why not a lawn mower. Cons: The lawn mower cuts grass but leaves missed spots. It does not have enough lift to suck up leaves, and the grass clippings will not shoot in the bag quite right. So I have to constantly dumb out the grass. Pros: Looks good and has a strong self propelled motor. If was able to I would return. I only use it to cut my borders now and had to by a gas powered one for the rest. Sorry greenworks, you missed the mark on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When the lawn is being cut uneven, this can indicate a few different things. Try having a look underneath the mower deck and ensure that there has been no damage to the motor shaft, fan, blade, blade washer/insulator or bolt. If any of these parts have been damaged or thrown off balance this will result in an even cut and likely, a noticeable vibration while in use. Recently purchased a house and bought this mower to take care of the lawn. It does the job excellently! The battery life has been great so far, it runs smoothly and quietly, and it's powerful enough to get the job done. It's also very handy to be able to fold it up to store it in our fairly small garage.

It takes 3 swipes to get the grass totally cut. The battery cost is like buying a new lawnmower and it take 5 or 5 charges to cut 1/4 acre. You have to walk really slow behind it to make sure most of the grass gets cut
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed.

It’s a great mower. My biggest complaint is that it a takes a few moments for the rear wheels to disengage when you want to pull it in reverse. Other than that, I love my mower.
