I cut a few lawns for some extra money I've had plenty of gas mowers in the past I figured I would go with something different because of the low maintenance factor I love this machine and it's very quiet cuts very well..I mowed trimmed n blew 3 medium properties using 3 batteries one a piece lightweight also love it
But then, here in the Northwest the grass isn’t dry till the middle of summer. I ordered my Pro 60V from Greenworks directly and it was delivered very quickly. In unpacking it there was only one battery. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it came with two, but i looked back at the description and saw I was mistaken. Assembly was easy. I don’t think the protective plastic film will ever come off from under the handle adjusters. The first couple of mowings worked well. I hit a good sized rock (that I didn’t see) that stopped the mower. It started up again and has run fine since. The real test for its ability it was mowing my back yard that was VERY long and not totally dry. I used the included second blade for long and wet grass, put the height setting as high as it could go and used the side shoot. I could not believe the power this mower put out. Before getting this mower i was considering borrowing a neighbor’s gas mower or finding a goat. My back yard is small. After the first cut the battery showed two lights. I lowered the height of the mower a bit and mowed again and it went to one light. See the before and after one pass photos.
I've used Neuton battery- power mowers for years, preferring the smaller one for maneuverability, & I'm so thrilled to replace it with this Greenworks mower. It was easy to set up & understand- very similar operation- but with a modern LI-ion battery that charges much faster. The mower itself has more power- the trade off is a shorter run-time, but I got an extra battery & used one for my front yard & the other for my back yard, & didn't run out of power either time. (They seem to run longer than the promised 30 minutes.) I love the eject button for the battery- it's very helpful for anyone with smaller hands or arthritis. Since this mower is 2" wider than my old one, and is much lighter, I get my mowing done faster & easier- that's a win!
I'm very happy with this. It was easy to assemble, has plenty of battery life, and does a fine job on grass and weeds. It would be nice if it came with a bag for clippings, and I'd prefer a clip or lock so it doesn’t stop if I take my hands off to move something when I'm mowing. But it is easy to start and lightweight so anyone in the family can use it.
I have a large lawn and the Pro 60V 25" mower does a great job mowing all I care to mow in one session with a nice, even, clean looking cut. I was worried that a battery powered mower would be pokey, but it's not.
We are very impressed with how much fun we had putting it together, and driving it off the ramp. My husband didn’t want a new mower, but we’re getting older and I hate to get gasoline and smell in the car. He loves it and is sorry we didn’t get this mower sooner. Easy to use, charge, cut and does our bill with ease.
This mower is great. I have a 1/3 acre lot with a hill in my backyard. I have plenty of battery to do the whole yard and more. With one battery, I can cut 90% of my yard with the mower. It seamlessly cuts over to the 2nd battery to finish up. Then I use that battery to edge, trim, and blow everything off with my other 60v tools. It's great. No more gas!!!
