Easy to use, makes mowing the lawn enjoyable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently moved to Wisconsin, and after almost 20 years of not having to mow a lawn, I had to buy a new lawnmower. I wanted something simple, and that didn't require gas. This Greenworks mower fit the bill. With the two batteries, I'm able to mow my .25 acre with several bars of battery to spare. The self-propelled wheels are a great feature to help you push the mower along, but it's also lightweight enough to do yourself. And - it's quiet! Would recommend to other homeowners!

Not bad, but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So as a mower, it's pretty good. Be prepared to buy new tires (stock are slippery) and new blades (stock are soft steel). Quick to drive around, it's a little sloppy in its turns compared to a gas mower but it's minor.
My BIGGEST, massive complaint is that you can't plug it in to charge it. It's really comically dumb having to haul six batteries back and forth. I have a car charger, this mower should have port to charge off of that OR at least a slow charge off a regular receptacle. Either buy the more expensive mower that plugs in or a different brand.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective

Hello Samael.
We are glad to hear you find the mower performs well overall and appreciate the feedback on steering and accessories. For the concerns you raised, there are a few points that may help improve day-to-day use. On traction, the stock tires are designed as general-purpose turf tires, but performance can vary depending on slope, moisture, and grass conditions. Ensuring tire pressure is set evenly and operating at moderate speeds on turns can help improve stability, especially on uneven ground. Regarding blade performance, keeping the blade sharp and balanced is key, dull blades can make cutting feel less efficient and increase strain on the mower, so periodic sharpening or replacement can improve results significantly.
On the charging setup, this model is designed as a battery-based system where charging is done externally via the included charger rather than directly through the mower. This approach helps keep the unit lighter but it does mean batteries are charged separately. To make this easier in practice, many users rotate batteries in a set sequence (charging while others are in use) to minimize downtime. If faster turnaround is needed, ensuring batteries are fully cooled before charging and using a dedicated charging space close to the storage area can help streamline the process. If you have questions about optimizing runtime or charging workflow, Greenworks support can also help review your setup and offer additional best-practice guidance. They can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, or by calling 1-888-909-6757.

Self propel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lawnmower in 2024 and it is now spring of 2026 and I can't get this thing to roll forward or anything. Think it is the self propel mechanism? I am not a small engine repair person but it seems like this is the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello GG369.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with the self-propel function on your 60V mower, and we understand how frustrating that can be. If the mower powers on but will not move forward, there are a few things you can check that may help resolve the issue. First, make sure the self-propel bail (drive handle) is being fully engaged, as partial engagement may prevent the drive system from activating. It is also a good idea to inspect the rear wheels for any debris, grass buildup, or obstructions that could be limiting movement, and confirm that the wheels spin freely when the mower is powered off. Check that the speed control (if equipped) is not set to the lowest setting, and ensure the battery is fully charged and properly seated, as low power can sometimes impact drive performance. Additionally, examining the underside of the mower for packed grass or debris around the drive components can help, as buildup in this area may interfere with operation. Over time, normal wear on drive belts or internal components can also affect the self-propel system, so if the issue persists after these checks, service may be needed. For a helpful walkthrough on mower setup and operation, including proper use of the self-propel feature, please refer to Greenworks’ official video here: (https://youtu.be/8EuAuzYB3zg). My first electric mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife bought this for me as a gift. To be honest I was kind of skeptical about using an electric mower. After years being a gas power mower user for years, my skepticism has gone. I love this mower! Did my hold front and back lawn on a single battery charge. The 60v 5Ah battery really has enough power and then some. Superquiet, light and easy to maneuver. Not to mention the led light are a plus during late evenings hours. I am looking forward to replace all my gas power lawn equipment with electric power equipment from Green Works. I highly recommend their products
