Great tools - bad battery life

I purchased the 60V 5.0Ah 21" deck lawn mower less than a year ago. I also have the 60V 4.0Ah trimmer/blower combo and the 16" 60V 2.5Ah chainsaw. All in all I'm very happy with all of the Greenworks products. My biggest issue is the battery life. I have about a 1/3 acre yard and a fully charged 5.0Ah and 4.0Ah battery only lasted about 45 minutes combined when mowing. 2 Fully Charged batteries!!! That's super frustrating when I can't get my lawn cut in one attempt.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective
I've had this for about 6 weeks now. What a difference from the Gas powered 20 inch cut. Easy to use. Self propelled a nice add. less storage space needed in the shed. Super easy to switch from mulch to bag. Can't wait to start adding other 60v tools.
I bought it a year ago and only had issues with it. On the second round of repairs, wished I never bought this big paperweight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best purchase I've ever made for yard care. Quiet according to my neighbors and I can listen to music without headphones. The batteries are long lasting. I love the mulch plate. I didn't think it would mulch that well without bogging and stalling but I was wrong. It's fabulous and smooth and the lawn looks gorgeous. I wish I had installed it in the spring which would have saved me from kicking clumps of grass or hauling a blower up and down my big yard. My grandkids love to go for rides(with blades off of course) so that's a bonus. I put a booster seat between my feet to protect their bottoms. I was thrilled when I learned I don't need to use all 6 batteries at once and still mows my 39,000sf(130'x300') yard. Battery charge decreases faster at full speed as expected but my yard is bumpy so I go at medium speed with 4 batteries with no problems. I love the compatibility with my other tools. I load my trimmer and chainsaw in the cart or at my feet and drive to where I'm working and just swap batteries as needed. I've also noted that when I park it after some usage, when I start it the next time the batteries have charged a little while sitting. Approximately 10-12%. Ive only drained it completely once just as I finished. The blades auto shut off at 5% leaving me plenty of time to get her parked. Great timing and fabulous feature. The lights don't seem to draw any battery it seems so that's nifty. I love the towing features. I got a lawn cart to move logs and branches and am impressed with the load it can bear and how easy it's making my life. I'm sure I could go on but suffice it to say I'm a huge fan. My only wish would be a plug for charging inside the battery housing instead of removing them as they are heavy for my aging hands. I do like how easy the release buttons are to push though. Also I'm pretty sure my ditch is greater than 15% and aside from mowing dewy grass with a little slippage I've had no problems whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about this mower. Ps. I use to mow with Scags and Cub Cadets for a living and I wouldn't trade my GW for anything. Next spring I'll get pics and update
Great investment, it works as expected and battery 60v 5ah last long enough to do my front and side yard. Great product and just bought the 24v edger/trimmer and 24V inflator (waiting for the delivery)
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Effective, Powerful
Worked great for 2 mos. Then the self-propel feature worked less and less until it became useless. I jumped through every hoop, but never was able to hear back from anyone.

I've had this mower a little under two months and yesterday it suddenly stopped working. I was on the phone with support yesterday and today and they were very helpful troubleshooting, but my issue can't be resolved remotely. They found a certified shop that will repair it, but I will be responsible for negotiatiing transportation with the shop and will be on the hook for the expense of getting their broken product there, which is 30 miles away.
I was very pleased with the mower up until about noon yesterday. But I am beyond disappointed that A) the mower broke down so soon after purchase - I think I only used it 15 times or so, and B) that their warranty only covers parts and labor and not the entire expense of repairing their faulty product.

I've had this lawn mower for more than a year and the only plus is I don't have to use gas. The negatives of this lawn mower are I'm not able to use the lower height setting. It constantly clogs, stops and grass clippings get the blades stuck, usually at the 4 height setting or less. Batteries do drain quicker especially with the previous issues listed. The components are plastic and cheaply made. The extra blade that was provided, which is for extreme conditions is not so great for the so called extreme conditions. It's similar to the regular blades. I'm in the process of purchasing a riding mower, but am considering a different brand instead of going for another Green works product.
Pros: Quiet
