I have a couple lower voltage saws from other brands, but couldn't do much besides limbing with them. I have a few batteries from various tools and took down a few large dead trees with this. My gas saw has the same size bar on it and now it is just a decoration in the barn. Love the decrease in noise and vibration.
I am 72,this is my 4th 80v tool. No longer am I tugging a gas can or pulling a cord with hope the saw will turn over. It`s lighter than a gas machine, quieter, does not smell, and the safety features are well thought out. With 2 batteries I have a term limit of use, but that `s ok because I don`t mind resting between charges. This machine keeps me active and doing something positive. I love it as I do all my Greenworks machines. Sincerely, Bill
This works well if you let the saw do the work and not force the issue. If you’re used to gas and bulling through you might not like it so much. Proper use and care and I’m very pleased. So far have done limbing and bucking, haven’t felled any trees with it yet. Kep the chain tight and oil in the tank and it will serve you well.
Cuts as well as my gas powered chainsaw. An advantage over a gas saw is the constant stopping and starting. You don’t have a saw sitting and running while you are clearing limbs.
