Powerful and Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My gas chainsaw chain broke and I hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. In a recent storm a large tree limb fell onto our shed. I wanted to get it cleaned up quickly. I ordered this saw on Saturday and it arrived on Wednesday. The battery charged quickly in under the 2h stated time (that's probably from a fully dead state) and in an hour I was able to fully cut the tree and still have one light of battery (20-39%) left. This saw is quite; So quiet that hearing protection isn't needed. It's also powerful and sliced through the tree with little to no effort. The translucent window for the bar oil reservoir is great and you can easily see how much you have. I really like the safety feature - not only is there a thumb button to depress in order to pull the trigger, but when the chain brake is on the circuit is completely broken, so pulling the trigger doesn't even send power from the battery to the motor. There is a slight 1-2 second delay when pulling the trigger to the motor turning and chain moving that you will have to adjust to, but once you do, it becomes unnoticeable. I would have liked the 4A rapid charger, but this combo with the 2A charger was on sale and worth the savings. The 4 year tool and battery warranty is great! Weight of the saw is on par with that of gas saws. The wife likes that I "don't smell like chainsaw" after use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I’m impressed, I had an older Greenworks 40volt chainsaw and it’s a toy compared to this. Power to spare. I also listened some of the other reviewers and changed out the chain for an Oregon one and that also made a noticeable difference.

I’ve only used it a few times but I really like it. I’ve cut a 10” black locust, 11” sugar maple, and several 6” hickory. Plenty of power. Cut quicker than my larger gas saw. I love not messing with gas and pull starting. It has a good solid feel to it. The quick charger is nice. It would be nice if it were lighter and quieter. But it is a lot quieter than a gas saw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is making quick work of this very large spruce tree I lost in a recent wind storm. It was 64' tall and we got through 3/4 of the limbing and over half way through the bucking with two charges of the battery! As we are getting closer to the very large base of the tree it continues to cut through it like butter! Very impressed and ordering a 2nd battery to have one fully charged all the time.

Has plenty of power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took a chance and went with this 80v saw over another gas powered saw. It has as much power as most gas saws. It is quieter and a 4 amp battery will make a lot of cuts. Get 3 batteries and you can cut all day.
