Cuts well, but I wish you could have the option of making the pole shorter by removing the center extension piece, as the saw is quite heavy to handle at its current length.
Light weight chainsaw does heavyweight work!. 80 volt battery lasts quite a while during sawing. Easy to handle, start, and use. Easy to assemble, add oil, adjust chain tension. very nice package for the outdoors-person. As advertised - great buy
I had a couple gas chainsaws and was tired of the gas mixing and carb cleaning, so I wanted to give this a try. I have but about 1/2 cord or maybe a bit more, of wood so far and I am pleased with it. The battery could last a little longer, but I am in no hurry and it is a good time for a break once a recharge is needed. Keep an eye on the chain oil. I need to refill about every 2 charges. When brand new, be sure to adjust the chain frequently as there is some stretch. It is super easy and the tool is right there in the handle, so it does not take any time at all.
From the point of view of an occasional homeowner use, the Greenworks 80v chainsaw is certainly more than capable of cutting logs. The most striking feature is the silence in-between cuts, this is something to behold...you can't believe it until you witness it yourself. It's bizarre to be cutting logs, and put down the chainsaw for a moment and hear birds chirping. I loved my orange colored pro equipment, but I'm over the pull start, gas smell, and noise. Within a week of this purchase I bought the Greenworks 80v leaf blower and my other orange blower is on the shelf, I gave the chainsaw away. I look forward to moving all my gas powered equipment to this 80v world.
