Better than two prior gas saws!

For the past year, I've been enjoying my 18 inch 80 v saw because it cuts better and faster than either of my two previous saws. For really hard woods like hickory or white oak the 2.0 Ah battery gives out in 1-2 hours while the 4.0 Ah version lasts about 2x that long. So, like gas saws, things like wood hardness and chain tension and sharpness affect energy usage. So far, I've just used low kickback chains. Looking forward to using pro chains for even better performance.

Light. Easy to handle. Safe. Just right for cutting wood up to 6" in diameter. Easy to maintain. Perfect for homeowner.

Used just to try out on a couple cuts. Works as it should. A bit louder than I expected, but better than the gas. Nice not to have the gas smells and seems to have less vibration .

Love this saw, never have to remember to get gasoline, mix in the 1:40 oil or try to start it on a cold day. The 18 inch drawbar handles everything we ask of it. Firewood, storm damage or pruning, it’s always ready to go.

I have used it for a few days and am very pleased with how well it cuts. I also love how the batteries charge faster than I use them so I always have a fresh battery at hand. Awesome chainsaw. I also like the safety features it has. Two thumbs way up!

I love the ease-of-use of electric. I don't use a chainsaw very much, but when I need it, I really need it (think hurricanes). So not having to clean the carburetor because I forgot to run the gas out, or change a fowled spark plug, is a big deal. To just grab it once every 3 months, glance at the chain oil level (visible through clear tank), press the power button, and GO, and have it work instantly, is magical. Plus it has plenty of torque to do the job. And with two 80 volt batteries (which I also use on my other electric tools), I always have enough power. The motor is louder than I thought it would be, but still quieter than gas equivalent saws. Also, it is hugely less polluting than gas.
