We replaced an older Nest because our HVAC company insisted. Compared to the Nest, this Honeywell is harder to operate, very difficult to install, and BORING. It took our pro tech 3 tries to get it installed. I could have never installed it myself. I did install the Nest years ago and it was easy and fun. We miss our sexy Nest.

Required professional programming as well as wiring installation because the instructions are not clear. Once programmed, it performs flawlessly. Worth the extra cost for remote access.

Connecting to Wifi has problems. After repeated attempts (using android) and multiple times getting error messages I was finally able to get it connected to my home network. I sold one to a client and they had similar issues (using apple) and was unable to get it connected to the cloud from the app and eventually gave up. I will not recommend or sell this to my clients until the connection process is fixed.

All the trouble I had after getting 5g wifi then to find out my thermostat doesn't work with 5g. There were many hours on the phone with technicians. It was frustrating
