Bought 4 a couple months ago. They’re fine. Not intelligent and functionality is limited. They’re essentially normal thermostats that sit on the wifi, except they’re expensive. If you just want to be able to adjust the temp from your phone these will do. Anything else, look elsewhere. Switching to ecobee next month because these are sort of obsolete in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This App has been barely ok & certainly not great. Updates are an adventure. I am getting this after actually having the unit for about 4 years. The most recent update completely dumped me out & I had to re-register. The re-registering was aggravating in itself, but not near as aggravating as re-entering info at the installer level. I am simply not going to call in a company to enter info. into my unit as a result of a software/App update. So, either better protect that portion of the info. or make the re-entering of the info. more user-friendly. I have a Heat Pump with a Gas/forced air furnace. I could find no option for this, and I am hoping my system does not allow both to run at the same time. Additionally, I typically (probably 75%) have to pull up the App TWO TIMES for it actually load so I can make adjustments to temp. or fan, etc. It was better and more reliable before any updates.

If your gonna connect to an IPhone there are some extra steps . Call customer service and they will walk you through the process . Excellent Product and Excellent Customer Service!
