It works fine. The app however, forces you to create a password to use it. So every time I want to adjust the temp and open the app, I first have to enter my password. If I have a password on my iPhone, then you can turn this off. I think it’s lunacy to force a user into using a password. Other than that, it works fine.
Temperature readings are all over the place causing short cycling on AC. Short cycling will cause premature failure of compressor and not remove humidity from house. Display will be showing 74 degrees and 4 seconds later show 68 degrees for a minute, then back to 70 degrees. It also turns on and off ALL THE TIME ALL DAY LONG as if it detects even 1/10 degree changes and runs it the AC for about 45 seconds and then turns it off. Can't keep my new home comfortable due to erratic behavior. Honeywell had me check voltages and were all good, stepped me through the reset process but it still has a problem. They say I have to go through the home builder to have it replaced. Builder has been called to replace it.
Although the T6 is a really good product, I also use Nest (Google) at my other home and the one negative about the Honeywell therm, it has to use a dedicated 2.4 network whereas the Nest works with both bands.
It was a little difficult to read 1st and get used to the get used to the setup and the scheduling and the scheduling but once I understood where everything was it is very easy to complete.
