Not the easiest device to work with. The setup process took a long time all because of failing to contact a server. I get alerts that network is failing and then when I go to the device the wifi is connected. I had to lower my firewall settings just for the device to work which show how little care is taken for security on this iot device.
Pretty basic t-stat, doesn't measure humidity is one of the bigger shortfalls. The Honeywell 9000 is a much much better choice. Older t-stat but many more features and proven performer for 10+ years. Honeywell is moving backwards with the T6.
I like the tstat when it works. The geofencing feature is very cool. However, I constantly get messages that one of the tstats can’t connect to the internet or the server. That can be very frustrating. The issue typically resolves itself but I cannot figure out how to avoid the problem.
Being able to adjust the temperature from my phone, and knowing that the thermostat is getting ready as I come home from work (within 3 miles) has been nice. I can't wait to try out Vacation Mode, and hope it saves on my utility bill.
