I have owned other Smart Thermostats from Honeywell before. Though the display is monochromatic and there are no weather reports like the other I had I realize I don't need them on this. But the geofencing is a very good plus. Integrates very well with Alexa, and does a very good job and interpreting the temperatures in the area an adjusting accordingly. Other settings like being able to adjust the displays brightness 4 at night does really make sense as I need one less light glowing on a wall any brighter than necessary and this one performs excellently with that.
Thermostat itself works just fine. The WiFi setup of this device and other similar devices is not very easy to complete. The process failed many times before I was able to get the first of my two thermostats online. If you are paying someone to install a new HVAC system with the Honeywell Thermostat T6, be sure to have the technician complete the WiFi setup.
I like how there is an app for your phone, but the app is glitchy. The device and phone get out of sync. You cannot program a schedule unless you use the app. Again app us glitchy. I will program temperature but the AC won't kick on. I will be replacing this device.
I have two thermostat in different floor in my home, they are all connected to my home wifi, but occasionally the Honeywell Home app would lose connection with one or all of them and I'll see the notification and the thermostat is offline in the app, I double checked my home wifi and I'm sure it's the system issue.
