It had to be replaced, under warranty, 18 months , after initial installation . It simply stopped working and had a blank screen. Other than that , it’s worked satisfactorily.
This is a very nice thermostat. I love the wifi app connectivity. That being said. Whenever I actually try to adjust or touch the thermostat, it can be slow to respond to touches. Otherwise it functions very well.
Like how it runs my furnace and/or my heat pump depending on the outside temps, and how it learn to gets the temp correct by the time you have it set rather than just starting to get the temp correcting at that time. And love the app on my phone to be able to adjust settings when I'm not at home. Plus I can check the temp in the house when gone on vacation if something needs attention.
While I like the design and simplicity as well as taking splice in a trusted brand like Honeywell, I feel like much is left to be desired in the Implementation.
The main screen is perfect, but all of the features hidden behind multiple menus is unwieldy and confusing. I now have a ventilation option on my main screen that I can’t figure out how to get rid of.
Integration with Apple’s HomeKit is horrible. 90% of the time when I go to the Home app, it tells me that the “accessory is not responding” while the Honeywell app is functioning fine. Also, the HomeKit option has little to know really useable feature. There’s no fan option and programming is convoluted.
I really hope there are some firmware updates that resolve these issues. I want to love this thermostat and really wish to add a second on to my home. Sincerely, requesting some minor improvements to make a major impact.
