This thermostat came installed with our new build so I can’t say I researched to find the most compatible or ideal for us. That said, even though it’s listed on Apple as working with HomeKit, I haven’t been able to make that work. Also, every time the WiFi gets reset (which, frankly, is more often than you realize because most things just reconnect) this thermostat doesn’t like to stay connected. Getting connected in the first place was a three day ordeal because I gave up after a few hours and came back to it later.
All that said, if you only interact with it via its own app or at the wall like a normal thermostat, it’s wonderful. I’m a caregiver of an Alzheimer’s patient who likes to mess with the thermostat (it becomes a loop for her), and I’m able to correct whatever she’s done from my phone without drawing attention to it. That’s a lifesaver.
So on its own, 5 stars. Part of a system, maybe 3.

The thermostat controls the temperature well. What it doesn't do is to clearly and intuitively allow you to program it so that you cool and or heat to the desired temperature using the A/C or heat as necessary. I have used other thermostats which do this easily. Why not this one?

If you’re looking for a remotely WiFi controlled thermostat, look somewhere else. I have two units and one of the two rarely functions as it should via WiFi access!! (It’s not the WiFi that’s the problem)

It’s uncomplicated. You don’t need a class in Advanced Tech to navigate the modes, temperature or menus. Easy Peasy.

Kind of tricky to set up on your phone. As far as using it very easy to do. Easy setting up a schedule. Being able to adjust heating or cooling while your away if you need to is a big plus. Very happy with this product
