Compared to an older model Honeywell I have in Florida, I prefer the older model because1)You don't have to touch the thermostat a first time to change anything and 2) It gives you the outdoor temp and humidity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great like geofencing and schedule it runs. The only reason 4 stars is lost wifi connection and had trouble getting it back.

Thermostat works great, very easy to use. Very convenient to be able to adjust the thermostat without being in front of it. Only issue is that app at times does not refresh and needs to closed and re-opened to get current data from the thermostat.

Probably not. I don’t like that it requires your GPS from your phone on at all times in order to use the app. I also think it sends that data somewhere, with no option to opt out. It also has WiFi issues—my power went off for a few minutes and it took me 6 separate tries to get it back connected (about an hour to do it). It frequently sends me push notifications that it has WiFi connection issues (even though it’s less than 10ft unobstructed from the fully functioning router). Underwhelmed, like my 5 year old thermostat downstairs better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
