I had tried at least a dozen times to connect it to Wi-Fi. After the first five tries, it worked. Then our electricity went out after a storm and my repeated tries failed. I've given up. It is able to connect to the outside temperature sensor for the heat pump, which our wonderful Nest was not. When our HVAC couldn't connect it to wi-fi, I knew connecting would be fraught with difficulty. After three weeks, it is still not connected and ive given up for now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this thermostat! I can control it from my phone or the unit itself, and I love how I can program each of the 3 different thermostats in my house differently. Helps with my energy bill tremendously.

Our builder installed a T4 thermostat. It did not have the recirculate setting for fan operation or remote WiFi controls. I upgraded to the T6 Pro to get both these features. One month in and I am very pleased with its operation.

Difficult to connect wi-fi

We bought the original one in December when our heater failed. It took several weeks of trying to connect the thermostat. The heater failed four months later. A new thermostat was installed. Still haven't been able to connect. Useless
