This thermostat was great. I'd actually doc it half-star for a mildly difficult wifi connection setup process, but I'm rounding up ;) I went through the whole setup (google nest) and it didn't work, restarted everything and it figured itself out. Love the features, flexibility, and ease of use.

Inexpensive and adequate wifi-enabled thermostat

I purchased two of these to replace the basic T4 thermostats that my miserly builder has installed in my new home. The main motivation being wifi-connectivity and ability to control and schedule on my phone app from anywhere, I would say it fulfills the requirements perfectly. Nothing fancy, no frills experience. The best part was that I didn't even have to remove or drill anything to install. It shares the same base plate with T4, T5 series and you just need to pull out the old and pop in the T6 in its place. Although you can install and program set up yourself, get an authorized dealer in your area to do the initial set up to avoid losing the warranty if you bought this yourself. Reset and re-install are a breeze and so far I've never lost connectivity even once in the last 30 days. I've adjusted the thermostat sitting remotely 300 miles away from home and it works perfectly. Don't waste your money on more expensive models from Honeywell or rival companies, if all that you want is easy remote access to change, schedule or geofence the thermostat at home. This model is just fine and costs far less.
