It is a good thermostat but requires a bit of setup to get started. Voice control would be nice. But being able to set the temperature via WiFi is great

Although the display for the current temperature is quite large and easy to read the text for settings is somewhat small and not as bright making it difficult for those with vision problems to read.

Good: the unit and app work very well. I am able to control my HVAC in Alabama from California.
Bad: synchronization with my phone while I was in CA and the installer was at the property in Al was difficult. The instructions were insufficient. Even with tech support it was not clear. I was finally able to do it out of luck and not by following precise directions. All is well now. Might be easier if you r doing this in the same room as the unit and the installer.

The programming of the thermostat should be more customizable. For instance, we have a peak electricity rate for a certain part of the day, so I would like to be able to add an additional time at which I can manipulate the temperature in my home. The thermostat itself is awesome and the three-star rating is only because of software limitations.
