The app is really unstable. The home version of this product, which I installed 4 months ago, was much better. I only "upgraded" to the Pro Version because we bought a new HVAC system and the installer would not let me use the old one. T6 is not worth it.
It does everything it’s supposed to do, but sometimes will have trouble connecting to the iPhone via the app. It lost communication several times during the setup process. And randomly will say thermostat not responding
Thermostat is actually good in and of itself. Software to connect to home network and Alexa is TERRIBLE:
1) network connection is unstable. 2) excessive number of steps to set-up network and Alexa connection. 3) excessive complexity of software setup - Honeywell Home app has to be closed and re-started at least 2 times during setup
Honeywell/Residio should be ashamed to publish such bad software. Please pony up the extra money to pay for some decent programming and re-do this app.
I have had programmable thermostats with wireless for more than 16 years and have had little to no problem with the wireless setup. The T6 Pro Smart thermostat works great in manual mode. However, I was only able to get the unit to connect to my wireless network once where it only stayed connected for a couple of days. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to reconnect despite several unit resets, deleting both the Honeywell and Apple Home apps. Unit constantly gives "unexpected error...try again..." On the features side, I prefer a thermostat that allows me to turn the unit off completely, including fan. This unit only allows for fan "on", "auto", and "circulate." I should be able to turn fan off as well. If I am able to sort out the wireless connection issues I would upgrade this to four stars.
It’s pretty plain, hard to setup on the phone..wont hold a setup once you do manage to get it to work. Doesn’t really do much of anything. Don’t really like it. You can’t customize it or anything.
