Get the Honeywell app down on your phone and you can change the temperature in the house whether it’s heating or air conditioning just by doing it on your phone. I love this feature.

Terrible Wi-Fi App

Had this installed with our HVAC system yesterday. I am in IT and have installed tons of wireless devices and apps. This is the worst experience I've ever had. Have made multiple attempts. Followed the support instructions. Thermostat says it's connected. Has an IP address. App just sits there doing nothing and gives no indication of the thermostat being joined. My only options are to cancel. The thermostat seems okay from a manually controlled perspective. Wish I purchased an Ecobee like I originally intended. Still may do that. DON'T get this thermostat for if you want Wi-Fi capability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i had it installed testerday, and tech had an emergency. i set up wi-fi. well, i thought so, it connected then disconnected. called tech support and after 2 hours still not working. i then moved my wi-fi extender within 3 feet of thermostat and tried once more. well it now works? old thermostat worked fine in same location with same wi-fi? BUYEWR BEWARE!!!

The thermostat was faulty. It did function well; however, it failed to communicate with the system when the heating was selected. I have been waiting for a replacement for two weeks.

...and now you can adjust your home thermostat when you're at work on the moon. It's very cool. Not in the temperature sense but stylistically. Easy to use even for a late middle aged guy like me.
