About a year ago, I purchased this thermostat to replace an older programmable thermostat. It is easy to program and temperature wise, it is accurate. I mainly purchased this so that I can monitor the temperature in the winter when we are not home. You can set up alerts so that you are notified on your phone if the temperature inside the home drops below a set temperature. It has a lot of other features which are nice. It shows the run time of your furnace daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. I also receive notifications by email monthly regarding the same information. It also has a geofence function to help with efficiency to actually monitor your normal patterns at home. Since we are retired, we are home every day, so this was not neccessary. Overall, a great thermostat that functions very well and has tons of features.

Installation was IMPOSSIBLE without calling customer support. Nowhere in owners manual does it state that “WAC SETTINGS” need to be disabled for Apple products. It is also very temperamental when it comes to certain Wi-Fi systems. Unit will drop Wi-Fi connection completely if turned to “off”. Cannot be reactivated with app and must be turned back on manually. Bugs need to be worked out.
Otherwise unit works as intended.

It took us six months to get the thermostats connected. We were unaware that it does not connect to 5G Wifi. So, we had to literally change our Wifi carrier. Lots of hoops to jump through to make them work.

It is not user friendly. The Wi-Fi access does absolutely nothing. I thought I would be able to control the settings remotely but that is not accurate.

To be fair, I installed this myself (not professional), and there are setup questions regarding the HVAC system that a layperson likely won't know, so it would be faster for a pro to do it. But in the end, I completed the setup. After that, it's working perfectly. I set up the heating/cooling daily schedule with no problem, and most importantly, it's operating the system like it's supposed to. I appreciate being able to operate the thermostat from my phone anywhere at any time. Connectivity has been spot on and I'm looking forward to reduced utility bills.

There is no auto hold feature. For example I can’t set the temp at 72 and it will heat or cool and keep it at 72. I used the permanently hold at 72 feature, but it is only heat or cool mode so if the temp drops or rises it won’t change modes to bring it up or down.

I have not used it for very long hence the 4 stars rating. So far is working fine, just wish this model had a more colorful modern-looking display, but it is doing its job. I like using its app to control it.
