This thermostat is far superior to our previous one. I would have given it a five star rating had it not been for the difficulties I encountered downloading the app. My son in-law happens to own a computer store and encountered the same problems I did. Thankfully he was able to use hi-tech martial arts and other gymnastic skills and got the app installed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps Losing Connection

Have been running this thermostat for 8 months now. It is a great unit when it actually works. It frequently loses internet connection and needs to be manually reconnected which can only be done when home. The Geofence feature often gets confused and thinks I am home when I am away. No way to fix it when I am not at home. Installing via app is confusing once the unit is connected as I am unsure what to do after it connects. Poor instructions for getting out of my phone's WIFI and back to the install. I love technology but this thing is unreliable. Will likely be shopping for something else.
This thermostat is really simple and easy to install and use. Our system is a complicated one and has both a Heat Pump and instead of electric strips, we have a Gas Furnace. This was the only wifi enabled thermostat we could find that was reliable and able to correctly support our deployment.
The thermostat works fine. The app was a pain to connect. I had a different Honeywell thermostat and app in a different house that I liked much better.
Lots of issues with it switching between heat and cool. Technician has been here 3 times. Brand new A/C unit and has switched this out twice. Still having issues
