It was installed as part of our newly constructed duplex. It connected easily to our WiFi setup and has worked perfectly. I've been able to control the thermostat via the app from anywhere I've been, and I've tested it to be sure! I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I needed a new thermostat.

Great thermostat, that works well. Timer/scheduler function obviously, but the wi-fi makes it easy to use from anywhere in the house. I use vacation mode a lot if I'm away for more than 24 hours. I haven't used Geofence, but see how it would work the same way.

OK, But Probably Wouldn't Have Been My Choice

Came with the new house we had built, so we really had no choice. First issue was trying to decide which app was the correct one; second was pairing my iPhone (apparently there's some kind of bug depending on what iOS version you're running, which I never would've found out if I hadn't searched online for "WAC Setting", which isn't mentioned in any instructions); third is there's no way that I've been able to find to program it by the hour, your only choice is 3 time block segments. An outside temp/inside humidity function would've been nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
