This is our first Wi-Fi thermostat, and will probably be our last! After about a month of use, it does everything that a Wi-Fi thermostat should do, we can set the max temperature the min temperature and on automatic, it controls our heat pump exactly the way we need it to. Our house is ALWAYS at the temperature that we have programmed it to be. I would definitely buy one again. Have not experienced its performance in the shoulder seasons when I hope it switches seamlessly between Heat Pump and our gas furnace, but judging by its performance to date, I think this is exactly the thermostat that we needed.

Difficult if not impossible to connect to app

I set this up about 4 months ago and it was a big pain. It took me many attempts to get the app to connect to my T6 thermostat device. Now in the last day or so, the app kept flashing a message that the name of the app would soon change. What a stupid message. I just ignored it the dumb message. Today my thermostat no longer shows up in the app. I am back to performing the "add device" process. But when following the setup instructions my iphone 12 fails to establish the wifi connection to the thermostat. I see the thermostat in the list of wifi connections but when I select it, it just keeps spinning and never connects. This is a major pain because I have become accustomed to using the app late at night to change the temperature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although it was a little confusing & complicated for me to to set up on my phone, it's easy to use. And it's an upgrade from our ancient swamp cooler.

Not the simplest to initially set up. I had to have a technician get it to work to the internet and phone app. After that it has been fine.
