The wifi is nice but it goes offline a lot every day. We have 2 of them in our house and both do the same thing all the time. They both do this about 2 or 3 times a day
There's something wrong with mine. I will change it from cool to heat, the desired temperature will be set to 73 and the thermostat shows in 68 so of course it comes on but it runs until it says it's 75 degrees and it shuts off. I know what 75 degrees feel like. The temperature is inaccurate and also it should have turned off when the temperature reached 73 and not 75.
You have to call tech support to do a full reset. Why? It seems really unnecessary that I have to download an app and video stream my thermostat in order to reset it.
I had the ecobee thermostat for two years and have gotten used to its features. The T6, in my opinion, is an entry level version of the ecobee. My biggest complaint is how the geofencing fails to accurately identify if I'm home or away, often setting itself in away mode when we have been home all day. Also, it seems that i have to choose my mode, heat, cool, where the ecobee could make that choice for me. I have managed to make the t6 geofencing more accurate with extensive tweaking of phone, but far from as accurate as the ecobee room sensors. The ability to check or adjust the t6 remotely works well but once again, it fails to have the choices the ecobee does, such as...until sleep, 2 hours, 4 hours, until i change it...... you probably wont regret your purchase unless you have had one of the more advanced offerings. I would save my money, wait for a sale, and go with a more advanced solution.
