I like the thermostat a lot and was easy to configure except for the WiFi. I selected for having the auto mode where we could set “auto” for heat and cool temperature settings.

Simple to use, but does not have an Auto Mode setting so the user has to select either Heat or Cool (or obviously, Off.) The system cannot automatically Heat or Cool based upon the temperature you set.

needed a thermostat I could control from my phone. Previous purchase from another company almost never worked with my phone. The T6 works perfectly every time! Nice to have something electronic that works well so consistently.

I used a Nest in my old house, and I'm definitely replacing this one that came with the house with another Nest (or I heard Ecobee is really good too). This thing is stuck in away mode. The only thing I can do with it on the device, app, or through Alexa is change the mode (ac/heat/off) and change the temperature. So at least it does those basic things, but I've never been able to set it to "home". The app is very basic features. It's not learning-capable at all like the Nest. For the price, I would definitely buy the basic Nest to get WAY more features that help save energy than this.

Wifi Radio failed after 17 months. Called 2x and waited on hold over 1 hour each time. When I eventually spoke live to someone who could help, I was walked through the same diagnostics I'd already done 4x and had also explained. After 3 min, I was told the unit was shot and I'd need to contact the installer. No offer of replacement, no program to handle that etc. AWFUL experience overall. In the future I will avoid Resideo / Honeywell products at ALL costs.
