This "thermostat" is not actually a thermostat. Wikipedia defines a thermostat as: "A thermostat is a component which senses the temperature of a physical system and performs actions so that the system's temperature is maintained near a desired setpoint. " The T6 Pro Smart Thermostat does not do that. It only allows you to set at temperature setting on cool mode or hot mode. If it is in cool mode and overshoots (getting too cool) it has no ability to heat the system up to the setpoint. You have to manually change the system to heat mode before it will heat up to the setpoint. This Thermostat has no ability to automatically maintain the temperature in the house, which makes it worthless in my opinion. I would have given it zero stars if it was possible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The unit was installed a few weeks ago and is performing well. There were a few challenges getting it hooked to WiFi. Other than that, operation of the unit is simple both with the touch screen and via the Internet.
