The thermostat would short cycle my brand new AC unit and jump 2 degrees when reaching the set point. At times it would turn on run for 5 mins and turn off while dropping 2 degrees. I tried replacing it with a new unit but the same thing kept happening. I had to finally replace it with another thermostat brand and the problem is fixed.

The HVAC company that installed two T6 thermostats and replaced both of them within one week because both thermostats had technical problems. I do not recommend this thermostat.

I had the non-WiFi model before which uses the same backing plate and mount. It literally took 5 seconds to pop old one off, and install new one
