Thermostat works well. My only complaint (and why it's not 5 stars) is that it doesn't have an automatic temperature range option. On my previous thermostat I could set a range (68-72) and the thermostat would automatically start the heat/air conditioning once the house went out of those ranges. This can be somewhat accomplished through push notifications on the app, but if the temperature drops in the middle of the night (which it has already done) I wake up to a cold house. Not ideal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thermostat is a dud pretty much. It doesn’t light when it senses someone close or anything..screen stays dark..it is basic monochrome, no color..I use the Honeywell app and don’t bother w/the thermostat.

It took a bit of effort to sync it up to the wifi but now works seamlessly. Very easy to program. I just wish it would provide more usage statistics and energy consumption info.

WiFi thermostat is the only way to go

WiFi thermostat connected Alexa takes any Honeywell’s thermostat brings technology to another level. You can see and hear the temperature. So many more functions available to discover. Honeywell’s smart thermostat.

You only have a choice of heating OR cooling. Not both. You cannot set a range for the system to stay within and have it either heat or cool appropriately. Both heat & cool work great however the lack of being able to either heat or cool to maintain a range has me already wanting to trash this controller in favor of one that can after only 1.5 months.
