After eight months of use, it's completely dead and the screen shows nothing. I will never use any product with the Honeywell name on it again.

Hi hope1860, this is not what you should expect. A blank display on the thermostat indicates that it is either not receiving power from the HVAC system or that it need to be replaced. In this case, we recommend you to reach out to the installer of your thermostat to check the voltage on the thermostat side. If the voltage is correct, they will need to replace the thermostat, this model has 5 years of warranty through the installer. If the voltage is not correct they will need to check the HVAC unit. Horrible

My apartment complex unfortunately uses this thermostat. It will say the apartment is at my desired temperature and then just constantly run non stop hours after it has reached the set temp. It is actually terrible. The settings are also confusing, if I have it set to auto why is that ^^^ happening?? This is an item that just needs to be discontinued honestly. Especially with the ratings this thing has.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slightly disappointed with the app. Other smart thermostats have a superior app with more information. The display is very simple and I desire a better, more entertaining display. This unit does operate precisely. Superior operation versus others.

I find the wifi very undependable. I lose the connection on my app frequentl. When I am at the house it keeps wanting me t register online. I am registered on line already. The touch screen is not sensitive and it takes a long time to get to the mode

The thermostat works well enough once it is set up; however, there are caveats. Trying to program the thermostat without the app is difficult. It should be easier to do. It's easier to program the thermostat with the app, BUT installing the app is a pain. How do you do one without the other?
Not everything in the app is intuitive and not everything that needs to be set up on the thermostat can be done through the app. Also, if wifi is not working and you need to adjust settings manually on the thermostat, the thermostat can be uncooperative. The instruction manual is only sort of helpful. Online help isn't very helpful.
The thermostat came with the AC unit that was installed. If I was given the opportunity to shop for thermostats with features I was looking for, I would not have picked this one. I want something with a more intuitive interface on the wall unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this thermostat based on the recommendation of our a/c technician. We had a nest and it was not compatible with our home's system. We have only had it a few weeks but it seems to work as promised. I would like to see how much we actually save over the course of the next few months. I would like for it to be a little more appealing on the eyes. Maybe in the next update there can be a more stylish look like the nest, or added colors to the system itself.
