It was nice when it worked

This thermostat came installed in my new construction home. I connected it to my wifi and it had been working great with no drop-outs in wifi connection. I never had a good experience with the geo-fencing feature on a previous Lyric T5, so I never bothered enabling it on my T6. Less than 2 years after this thermostat was installed it failed. The thermostat will no longer call for heat. Honeywell will not warranty this product unless I go through the installer. Problem is, I have no idea who installed the thermostat because it came with my new construction home. For this reason alone, I will not recommend this thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does what it supposed to do but I think it needs to do a lot of catch up on being smart. 1. Please change app name. Why would your app be Resideo if your brand name is Honeywell? 2. The app interface is not intuitive and I'm a software engineer. There are many clicks involved to get to what is needed. 3. I tried to use GeoFencing and it just stopped heating the ground level. 4. Also it need to learn my schedule. I tried to set it up and (may be because I also turned on GeoFencing) it was not effective.

Replacing these with a more user friendly version. These thermostats only have a heat or cool.feature with no option to set a temp range and set to auto for the system to.manage itself.

Thermostat works as intended- as usual providing customer service is an afterthought, apparently. Local installer was clueless when asked about accessing advanced menu options. Figured it out on my own.

I am a snow bird and it’s awesome to check the temperature of my home when I’m not there. I can also adjust the temperature when we hit the airport and it’s comfortable when we arrive!
