Thermostat cannot be set lower than 50 degrees. When I spend the winter the Florida I always set my previous thermostat at 45. I would not have selected this if I had known this but the HVAC technician did not give me any other options

I needed a Zwave thermostat so it would connect with my alarm system app. I wanted to control both thermostats in my home from 1 app. This unit was easy to install but that’s where the fun stops. The heater would not turn off at the set temp. If I set the temp to 72, it would keep going and wouldn’t cut off until it was reaching 78! I contacted Honeywell and did all the troubleshooting. We finally got to a point where they told me to keep an eye on it and contact them back after a few days if the problem persisted. Well…no use in wasting more time on the phone. This thing is garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
