I like this thermostat. It's very easy to setup and so far working very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It took me a while to get the thermostat configured on my WiFi. Then I searched for the Lyric app only to learn that it is now called Honeywell Home. Guess there is no support to keep the documentation up to date! Was looking for ISU 303 to enable "Differential" degrees that would reduce the times the furnace and A/C switches on - only to learn that my thermostat does not have this feature. But yes, the documentation said "ISU options available may vary upon the thermostat model and equipment setup". Going back to not having device dedicated documentation or keeping it up-to-date. And last, I just received an email from Honeywell Home giving me my Energy Report with an analysis of my energy usage. BIG BROTHER is watching and no way to disable this little spy feature in my home! No, no and no!!!
Easy to install and easy to operate. The iPhone ap is very user friendly and efficient. I love to be able to control my home environment from anywhere at anytime. This is my second Honeywell wifi thermostat type (had the system in my last home) and I am not disappointed with its performance
Air conditioner installers recommended replacing my Nest with this thermostat. I was told that the Honeywell works better with our furnace and AC than the Nest and that the Nest can cause problems with the board in the furnace. However, I miss much of the functionality and user friendliness of the Nest (self-learning schedule; user interface; proximity sensor). I do not, however, miss the fact that the Nest was a google product.
The T6 WiFi thermostat has a “geo fence” feature that will reduce operating costs when you leave home by linking your cell phone to the thermostat. Sounds great, but I quickly found out every time I left the house ( it’s July and hot in the south) the a/c would throttle back making the house very hot for the other family members until I returned. I quickly found out unless everyone at your house enters their phone in the system, the thermostat will think nobody is home and invoke the geo fence system. It’s a fine feature unless you have family in the home who don’t have a smart cellphone. It’s a useless feature for my family. If you plan to install a T6, I hope you have a great working knowledge of thermostats, as the product has very little info / instructions included and according to my installer, the company doesn’t focus on tech support for the homeowner.
